All candidates prepared to apply for the upcoming academic year can do so now that Our Lady of Fatima High School has opened its admissions portal. The school has provided parents with various admissions procedures to help them apply their children to the school. The National Curriculum Statement now consists of the Overview and Subject Statements for the following subjects:

Languages

(11 official languages – each counted as three subjects to cater for the three levels Home Language, First Additional Language, and Second Additional Language and 13 non-official languages

• Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, Physical Science & Life Sciences
• Accounting, Business Studies & Economics
• Geography, History, Life Orientation, and Religious Studies
• Consumer Studies, Hospitality Studies, and Tourism
• Dramatic Arts, Dance Studies, Design, Music & Visual Arts
• Agricultural Sciences
• Subsequent to 2004, some additional subjects have been added to the list above.

New f.e.t. curriculum : grade 10

Please note that since 2006, Grades 10, 11, and 12 have fallen under the F.E.T. (Further Education and Training Group or Band). This culminates in the issuing of a National Senior Certificate (N.C.S.)

 

Document and information required for the admission of a learner

• A copy of the learner’s birth certificate.
• The School’s prescribed application form.
• Proof that the learner has been immunized.
• An original transfer card for the learner where he/she is transferring from one school (independent or public) to the School.
• A copy of any reports that will assist the School in understanding the educational needs of the learner.
• Proof of the residential address(es) of the learner and both parents (which proof may include a copy of a title deed, existing lease agreement, and/or utility bill or bank statement not older than three months).

Admission Procedure

1. Complete the application form and submit it along with all supporting documents (a copy of the learner’s official birth certificate, ID documents for both parents, and the most recent school report) and the proof of payment of the R300 application fee.
2. The applicant is required to attend an interview with the Principal or designated staff member.
3. Upon acceptance, an enrolment fee is required to secure a place.
4. Please keep the school up to date with any changes in personal details to facilitate communication.

The PRO, Meagan Ward, will be available, on the appointment, to take each family on a tour of their school. Admission form 2024-25
