Effingham Secondary School Admissions 2024-2025: School Application for 2024
All candidates prepared to apply for the upcoming academic year can do so now that Effingham Secondary School has opened its admissions portal. The school has provided parents with various admissions procedures to help them apply their children to the school. I’ll provide you with advice to all applicants to apply for the admission period before the deadline.

Enrolling your Child at Effingham Secondary School
Between August 1 and October 31 of the academic year, you must enroll your child in a school.

1. Come to school and collect a Provisional Application form.
2. Copy of Proof of residence must accompany this provisional application form together with the children:
- original last school report [in this case the March 2017 Report].
Identity document
3. After you have handed this to the School you will be notified of the outcome of your application.
4. You will be given a Registration Number at this point.
STAGE TWO
- Parents living in the AREA [Effingham, Avoca, Red Hill, Greenwood Park, Briardene, Duffs Road, Avoca Hills, Corovoca, Durban North, Kenville, Sea Cow Lake – in this order will be given first preference.
IF YOUR APPLICATION IS SUCCESSFUL: A REGISTRATION FORM WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU WITH A REGISTRATION NUMBER.
Complete the registration form
Attach the following documents to the Registration Form:
- Child’s ID / Birth Certificate / Immigration Documents / Clinic Card / immunisation card
- Child’s latest school report [March 2017]
- Proof of Residence
- The ID of both parents / Death Certificates
- The ID of the person responsible for the payment of school fees
- Social Grant documents if applicable
- One ID-size photograph of the child
- 2x new plastic sleeves
- Proof of Payment of R2000 SCHOOL FEES DEPOSIT.
Parents & Children must present themselves with the registration form for a formal interview with the Principal or his designate.
Registration will be completed during the interview.
STAGE THREE
- The Child will write a test in English and Mathematics [this is to help with placement in classes and teachers to gather information of where to start Grade 8]
- There will be an ORIENTATION MEETING for both parents and the Child  – attendance at the orientation meeting is mandatory. school application for 2024
