Academics

Eunice is justly proud of the fine tradition of outstanding results in the Grade 12 National Senior Certificate examination. The consistent qualities of such results are a very real tribute to the triangular partnership of commitment between learners, staff and parents.

Eunice High School Subjects Offered

Below is the list of subjects offered at the institution for the academic year:

The GET Phase (Grade 8-9)

A broad range of subjects is taught by experienced and committed staff. The emphasis is placed on exposing the pupils to a broad range of subjects included in this band of education. The aim is placed on acquiring sound literacy, numeracy and scientific skills. Subjects included in the GET Phase are the following:

English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Life Orientation, Creative Art, Technology, Social Sciences, and Information Technology.

The FET Phase (Grade 10-12):

In line with the National Curriculum Statement, Eunice’s pupils are entered for the National Senior Certificate examination at the end of Grade 12. The examination forms the foundation for entrance to all universities in South Africa.

English (Home Language), Afrikaans (First Additional Language), Life Orientation and either Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy are compulsory.

Choice options – one subject from each column.

Eunice High School Grade 10 & 11

English at the Primary Language level, Afrikaans or Sesotho at the Additional Language level and Life Orientation are compulsory subjects. Girls must then choose one subject only from each of the following four groups.

Document and information required for the admission of a learner

Thank you for the interest you have shown in applying to Eunice High School for Girls.  Please take note of the important information outlined below.

The application process consists of two steps:

Step 1 :
Completing and submitting this online form.

Step 2:
Submitting supporting documentation to admissions@ehs.co.za.  What supporting documentation(copies of original documentation) is needed:

1. Birth certificate/Identity document of the applicant (learner)
2. ID documentation for parent/legal guardian and debtor (if not the parent/legal guardian)
3. Passport/Study Permit/Permanent Residence Permit if the applicant is a non-South African citizen
4. Latest school report (second term reports will be needed as well)
5. Recent passport-sized photograph of the learner ( not older than 12 months)
6. Proof of income/employment/SARS or Company registration documents (self-employed parents)
7. Health profile/vaccination record
8. Divorce and or Custody Court order
9. Medical aid card
10. Proof of residence (Utilities account not older than 3 months)

The Eunice admissions office will send an email with an applicant reference number confirming receipt of your online application and supporting documentation within 7 business days.

How to apply for admission at Eunice High School

• At the top menu of the page, click on the “Apply for Admission” tab
• All new applicants must complete the application form before applying. They will not process applications without filling out the forms.
• Attach the necessary document when applying
