The Admission Process

Admission for 2024 is open Now!

They do encourage prospective parents to fill in the application form and send it as soon as possible.

You have several options to apply for your son:

1. Online application: The online application gives parents the opportunity to apply online for admission for their son. The completed online application form will be sent to the Admissions Secretary in order for the School to consider your son for admission to Glenwood.
2. Download the application form.
3. Collect a hard copy from the School.

Please note that applications close in September of the Grade 7 year.

 

Online Application for Admission at Glenwood High School

• Please note this is a “boys only” school.
• The official language of Learning and Teaching in English.
• Before completing the form, please read the requirements below.

REQUIREMENTS

1. This form must be completed in full by the applicant’s parent.

• The parent or guardian of the child;
• The person legally entitled to custody of the child;
• The person who undertakes to fulfill the obligations of a person referred to in paragraphs (a) and (b) towards the child’s education at school. (Definition: S.A. Schools Act, No.84 of 1996)Parent means:

The following documents are to be included with the application (incomplete applications will not be considered):

1. A copy of the latest December and current school reports must be attached.
2. A copy of the son’s Unabridged Birth Certificate or Book of Life must be attached. Should the parent’s and sons’ surnames differ, an unabridged birth certificate must accompany the Book of Life.
3. Copy of immunization card for son.
4. A recent passport photograph must be attached.
5. Proof of Residence: i.e. latest Bank Statement (for confirmation of Residential Address only) or copy of Electricity / Telephone Account. An affidavit is not acceptable proof of residence.
6. Copies of both Parent’s / Guardian’s Identity Documents.
7. Previous School Fee Statement.
8. Salary advise of both Parents / Guardians.
9. Official Guardianship Documentation (if applicable)
10. Failure to comply with the above may result in a delay in the processing of the application.
11. If a learner contravenes any school rule or regulation as laid down by the responsible authorities, disciplinary action may be taken against such a learner.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: 

The application is not to be regarded as an acceptance at Glenwood High School. Prospective pupils will be contacted for an interview. Not all applicants will be granted an interview. All applicants will be notified by post of the status of their application.

NOTE:

The Application Form will not be dealt with until the Administration fee is paid and all the relevant documents are submitted. The payment of the Administration Fee is to cover the costs of processing the application only. School Fees 2024
