Please supply a certified copy of the following:

• Certified copy of the Unabridged Birth Certificate or receipt of the application
• Certified copy of both parents/legal guardian I.D documents or
• a certified copy of the Death certificate if either parent is deceased
• Proof of legal guardianship – certified copy of the court ruling
• Certified copy of current utility account or
• Certified copy of the current lease contract
• Certified copies of both parent’s pay slips or
• 3 months’ bank statements if unemployed or self-employed.
• Certified copy of your last and most recent School Report
• Certified copy of the latest School Fee Statement from the current school
• Immunization Card
• A recent photograph of the learner (passport size)
• R100-00 Handling fee (not refundable)

 

ADMISSIONS POLICY 2023

POLICY OF DURBAN NORTH COLLEGE REGARDING THE ADMISSION OF LEARNERS TO THE SCHOOL OR GRADES AT THE SCHOOL

1. ADMISSION TO DURBAN NORTH COLLEGE

• Application forms need to be completed accurately and truthfully.
• The school caters to the Durban North to Umhlanga Rocks suburbs.
• The order/date of application is given consideration.
• The applicant must have English Home Language and Afrikaans First Additional
• Language / Afrikaans Home Language and English First Additional Language as IsiZulu is not offered.
• Grade 1 – They have to turn 7 before July of their grade 1 year.

2. SCHOOL FEES

• A School fee statement must accompany each application.
• A thorough financial check will be conducted by the Financial Department.

3. DOCUMENTATION

• It is required that all documentation is completed and must be certified as per requirements.
• A questionnaire is sent to the learner’s current school to follow up on any behavior issues that we need to be made aware of.

4. INTERVIEW

An Interview will be scheduled and only after a committee meeting and discussion will it be decided if the learner is accepted or not. College subjects
