Collegiate Girls High School Admissions 2024-2025: Collegiate School Fees
The admission is the period with the academic year that Collegiate Girls High School opens the application portal for all students who wish to study at the school to apply. Parents during this period are encouraged to seek admission for their children and make sure qualify and have all the required documentation as they proceed with the application before the deadline.

In addition to this, pupils choose between French Second Additional Language and isiXhosa Second Additional Language.
There is also a Learner Support Programme for Mathematics in the school morning, and Language tutoring by teachers in the afternoons.

- Physical Sciences and Accounting may only be taken with Mathematics
- The additional subjects of “Advanced Programme English” and “Advanced Programme Mathematics”, examined by the IEB, are offered.
- Girls may apply to take Dance Studies as an eighth subject
DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION
- A parent will be required to complete an application form for admission, which must be provided to him/her by the
- Together with the application form, the parent must submit to the School an official unabridged birth certificate of the learner. Should the parent be unable to furnish an unabridged birth certificate, a certified copy of the abridged birth certificate of the learner and certified copies of both parent’s Identity documents must be supplied until a copy of the unabridged birth certificate has been obtained from the Department of Home
- Should a learner move from one public school to another, the principal of the previous school must complete a transfer card and either hand it to the parent or forward it to the school?

ORDER OF PREFERENCE REGARDING APPLICATIONS FOR ADMISSION
- Unless and until the HOD, after consultation with the SGB, decides otherwise, the natural feeder area of the School is Port
- The School is currently an English-medium institution equipped with human resources to cater primarily for those learners whose chosen language of tuition is the medium of tuition at the School.
- The School and SGB know that they may not unfairly discriminate against a learner on whose behalf an application is made for admission, and have no intention thus to discriminate, and whilst they are desirous of playing their part in the education of learners in partnership with the State, they appreciate that the School cannot accommodate all learners and that some process of (fair) discrimination regarding admission of learners is inevitable. Therefore, and in view of the foregoing, it is the School’s policy that the following preference be afforded to applications of learners who are fluent in the medium of tuition of the school –
- Those in respect of learners bona fide residing with their parents (as defined in SASA) within the natural feeder area of the School;
- Those in respect of learners requiring on-school premises hostel residency (as limited to the spare capacity of the hostel);
- Those in respect of learners whose parent or parents is/are genuinely employed at an address within the natural feeder area of the School;
- Learners residing outside the natural feeder area of the School and who wish to study a subject or subjects offered by the School and there is no other school closer to the learner’s place of residence, that offers the subject(s)
LEARNER AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION TO THE SCHOOL OR VARIOUS GRADES OF THE SCHOOL
A learner who falls outside the age norm by more than two years will not be considered for admission. The age norm is the grade plus 6 years. Collegiate School Fees
