Welcome to Uplands, an inspiring community of friendly, motivated, open-minded, and caring people from across the country and, indeed, the world. Uplands College invites all prospective students to apply for the 2024-2025 admissions in the academic year.
All parents can now assist their wards to apply for this academic session at Uplands College since the school has opened its admissions portal. Parents are also urged to submit all required documentation throughout the application process.

Subjects offered at Uplands College for the academic year 2024-2025
Curriculum
Grades 8 and 9
All students take English, Mathematics, an additional language (Afrikaans or isiZulu and for immigrants either French or Spanish), Life Orientation, Economic Management Science, Natural Science, Human, and Social Science, Technology, and Arts and Culture (Art, Drama, Dance, and Music).
Each term the students have hybrid days which include cross-curricula activities, and a blend of teacher-led instruction, online learning, and collaborative group work.
Grade 10-12
All pupils at Uplands study the following subjects:
- English (Home language level)
- Afrikaans or isiZulu (1st Additional Language level) or French or Spanish (2nd additional Language level – this is only for immigrant students)
- Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
- Life Orientation
Then all pupils choose 3 of the following subjects:
- Accounting
- Business Studies
- Computer Applications Technology (CAT)
- Dramatic Art
- Engineering Graphics and Design (EGD)
- Geography
- History
- Information Technology (IT)
- Life Science
- Music
- Physical Science
- Visual Art
For those pupils who want further extension they also offer:
- Advanced Programme Mathematics
- Advanced Programme English
Admission Process at Uplands College

Uplands offers co-educational schooling from Grade 000-0 to Grade 12, with boarding from Grade 4.
Applications are open all year round. In making an application they require:
- A copy of the child’s birth certificate (unabridged)
- A copy of the child’s passport (if a foreigner)
- A copy of the most recent school fee account
- A copy of the ID documents or passports of Parents or Guardians
- A copy of the child’s two most recent school reports e.g. prior year and most current report
- A completed Uplands application form; and
- Payment of the R500 non-refundable registration fee
