ADMISSIONS – PARENTS OF NEW BOYS

Policy For Admission Into St Benedict’s

The normal points of entry into St Benedict’s are at the Junior Preparatory School level in Grade 00 or at the College level in Grade 8. Admission is possible in other grades only if and when vacancies occur. Usually, new boys are not accepted into Grades 11 or 12. Boys are generally only accepted into Grade 10 if they move to St Benedict’s from an independent school.

Points of Entry into St Benedict’s

Admission to St Benedict’s is open to all. Application forms are available on the school website, are emailed on request, or may be collected from the three administrative offices of the school i.e. Junior Preparatory, Preparatory, and College. In addition, there is an online application for your convenience.

Checklist Of Documents

For both the online and the manual applications, the following documents are required. For the online application, these documents must be scanned in and attached to the application.

• Birth certificate (if the pupil is older than 6 months)
• Unabridged birth certificate (for non-South African citizens)
• Baptismal certificate
• Testimonial from the parish priest or minister (optional)
• Most recent school report (grade 4 and higher)
• Identity photo of your son (grade 4 and higher)
• Parent or guardian identity book or passport
• The latest statement from the current school
• Official immunization card (grades 00 to 3)

 

How to upload an application form to St Benedict High School

To upload the documents to the school for the application season, kindly follow the process below:

• Visit the official website of the school application portal
• Click on the load documents
• Scroll down and click on the bubble next to ‘ Documents
• Fill in your information
• Click on choose file and select the corresponding file from your device
• Click on ‘Upload’
• Once done submitting the documents, click on submit documents and continue
