The official website of Howick High School has posted the admissions deadline. All applicants who wish to apply may do so at Howick High School. The admissions season is accessible to candidates who are qualified and have all the required paperwork. The school advises applicants to apply as soon as possible before the submission deadline.

Howick High School Subjects Offered
Howick High School has always placed great importance on Academics. Their Matric students write the National Senior Certificate examinations and they are proud to achieve a 100% pass rate as a norm.
In Grades 8 and 9, pupils are taught the following subjects:
- English
- Afrikaans or isiZulu
- Life Orientation
- Creative Arts
- Economic Management Science
- Geography
- History
- Maths
- Natural Science
- Technology
From Grade 10, pupils take the following compulsory subjects:
- English
- Afrikaans or Zulu
- Life Orientation
- Core Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
In addition, they select three of the following subjects:
- Accountancy
- Consumer Studies
- Engineering, Graphics, and Design
- Geography
- History
- Life Science
- Physical Science
- Visual Art
Admissions
Applications for enrolment into Grade 8 can be submitted from the beginning of term 1 in the pupil’s Grade 7 year. Applications for Grades 9 to 11 can be made at any time of the year.
The application form can be downloaded here or obtained from our Admissions Secretary at the school office, which is open from Monday to Thursday from 07h30 to 15h30 and Friday from 07h30 to 14h00. Please note that all applications must be submitted in hardcopy format; regretfully, it is not possible to receive emailed or faxed submissions. We recommend that applications are submitted by 28 February 2024.
They hold an annual Open Day in the 1st term when Grade 6 and 7 learners and their parents can visit their school to view the facilities and experience our classrooms in action. Should you wish to receive an invitation to attend the Open Day, please send your contact Name, email address, and cellphone number to marketing@howickhigh.co.za.

When submitting an application, the following documentation is required:
- A copy of the applicant’s unabridged birth certificate
- A copy of the most recent school report
- A copy of parents’/guardians identity documents
- Proof of the applicant’s residential address
They recommend that you apply to more than one school as there is a limited number of pupils which we can accommodate in their classrooms and accommodation facility.
School and Hostel fees for the ensuing year are confirmed in November each year. School Fees 2024
The fees for 2024 are:
- School Fee – R36 550 per annum
R3 650 x 10 months, January to October
7% discount if paid in full by 28 February 2024 - Admissions – R46 200 per annum
R11 550 x 4 terms, payable in advance - APPLICATION-FORM-2024
