EXTRAMURAL ACTIVITIES

Greytown High School competes against the biggest schools in KwaZulu Natal in a wide variety of sports and cultural activities. Greytown High enjoys provincial representation in athletics, hockey, netball, swimming, and soccer. Recognition is also given to provincial achievements e.g. karate, and polocrosse.

The following sports are available:

• First term: athletics, swimming, cricket, and tennis.
• Second term: rugby, hockey (for girls), netball.
• Third term: athletics, tennis, soccer.
• Fourth term: cricket.

Sports practices start at 13:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Learners interested in nature join the Nature Society and annually take part in the Wildlife Quiz on a provincial level.

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Applications open in March of any given year for the following year. They would like to encourage Parents to start the process as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

STEP 1

The Parent or Guardian emails the School at office@greytownhigh.co.za to ask for Registration forms which are then emailed to you for completion and return OR you call the Greytown High School Administration Office Monday to Friday from 07h00 to 14h00 to collect and complete the initial Application form.

The information details you need are:

• The name and surname of the learner
• The id number/date of birth of the learner
• The full name and surname of the parent/guardian
• The address and contact details of the parent/guardian
• The grade and name of the current School the child attends

The Parent / Guardian will be given a Reference number confirming the application and all the information needed to complete the process.  You will also receive a form that must be given to the child’s current School to be completed by that Headmaster who will then fax it back to Greytown High School. STEP 2

The Parent / Guardian (at least one parent) together with the learner, wearing the School uniform, MUST ATTEND the presentation by the Headmaster.

You need to bring the following with you:

• The Reference Number is given to you
• A copy of the latest available School Report
• A black pen for you to write with and a black pen for the learner to write with

STEP 3

After you receive confirmation that your child was accepted, the Parent / Guardian (not the child) comes to School on the specified date to Register: Complete the Registration forms, sign the School Fee Agreement and pay the Registration Fee. School Application Form 2024

You need to bring the following with you:

• The Reference Number is given to you
• Copies of the parent’s ID documents
• Copy of the learner’s birth certificate
• Proof of residence of the Parent / Guardian
• Copies of the latest 3 payslips (if self-employed, 6 months’ bank statements)
• Cash to pay the registration fee
• A black pen for you to write with

The registration process is only completed once all the forms are signed and all requested documents are submitted.
