DAYBOY ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Grade 8 Application process for 2023
Opened on 22 July 2024 and closed on 19 August 2024.
Parents were required to apply directly through the Department of Education and their online system.
The outcome of the GDE application will be issued by the Department of Education from 3 October 2024 on the GDE online system where you applied.
Grade 9 – 11 Application Procedure for Dayboy/Boarders 2024
Opening date: 1 September 2024
The application form will go live and be available under the “Admissions” tab on the website www.boyshigh.com from 1 September 2024
Please note: Space is not guaranteed as we require students to leave in order to create a space

DAYBOY/BOARDER APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
The School Governing Body has resolved that the Headmaster will administer and decide on admission in accordance with the SGB admissions policy.
Grade 8 applications must be done via the Gauteng Department of Education’s online process during the admission period (as decided by the GDE).
The Application Forms for Grades 9 to 11 must be printed from the link above and completed in full and signed by both parents or legal guardians. All supporting documents must be submitted together with the application form.

Application forms for dayboys for Grade 9-11 shall reach the Admissions Secretary by the end of the third school term of each year (for admission to the School for the following year). Admission to Grades 9 – 11 shall only be considered should there be available space and if the applicant fulfils the requirements of the Admissions Policy, which has been approved by the School Governing Body. Documentation required to complete your application to the school
Without this documentation, your application will not be processed:
1. A COPY of your son’s latest school report;
2. A COPY of your son’s UNABRIDGED (full) birth certificate which reflects both biological parents’ details on it. (This takes 6-8 weeks from Home Affairs – please apply timeously. You may submit a copy of the receipt along with the application as well as his current birth certificate);
3. COPIES of both parents’ ID documents (death certificate if a parent is deceased);
4. Proof of your permanent RESIDENTIAL address and Employment (if applying based on work) – NO rates and taxes account will be accepted
- a most recent copy of your lights and water account or
- a copy of your lease agreement. (minimum of 1 year)
5. Immigrants must also submit COPIES of official permanent residence and study permit documents; diplomats to submit copies of passports and diplomatic identities.
6. COPIES of music examinations passed, if applicable
7. Reference/testimonial letter from the current school
