Brettonwood High School Admissions 2024-2025: Application Forms 2024

Welcome to Brettonwood High School. Students may now apply for the 2024–2024 academic year thanks to the school’s admissions season. All applicants can rapidly submit the required admissions requirements to avoid having their applications rejected.

You must enroll your child in a school between 1 August and 31 September of the year before they start school. The application form and all relevant documentation should be completed and hand-delivered to the school by 30 MAY 2024,

Document and information required for the admission of a learner

• Birth Certificate of Learner — Certified x 2 copies.
• Reports —-December 2024 and March 2025 Parents’ Identity Documents – Certified Legal proof of guardianship where applicable.
• Electricity account ~ Latest, document (in parent’s name)/any original document indicating proof of address.
• 2 x Recent Passport size color photos of the learner.
• R300.00 non-refundable Administration Fee.
• Recent Payslips of parent/guardian.

P. S. ALL THOSE WHO HAD SUBMITTED THEIR ADMISSION FORMS BEFORE THE FLOODS ARE REQUESTED TO COME TO THE SCHOOL AND GET NEW FORMS AS ALL THE FORMS WERE DAMAGED BY THE FLOODS.

 

Brettonwood High School uniform policy

• PE Uniform: The PE uniform is for all students. These will be available through the school store.
• BOYS: The boy’s uniform is the same for the whole school. Boys may wear shorts or trousers as prescribed by the school.
• GIRLS: The girl’s uniform is the same for the whole school. Girls may wear shorts or trousers as prescribed by the school.
• Purchasing:  Please stop by the Uniform Store on the school premises.

Brettonwood High School School DRESS CODE

To maintain high expectations and to support a conducive learning environment, please adhere to the following criteria for the dress code:

As a rule of thumb, the Six “B’s” to avoid overall are Buttocks, Bosoms, Boxers, Bellies, Bras, and Backs (lower). Exposure of any of the “B’s” will be addressed immediately.

Students may NOT wear:

• Pajamas, boxer shorts, slippers/house shoes, or cut-off sweatpants.
• Any fabric that is see-through (tops, pants, or dresses). Undergarments should not be exposed.
• Shirts or blouses that are cut off to expose stomachs and lower backs; show cleavage or midriff; that is see-through; Open back that exposes bra straps or lower back; camisoles; Shirts or blouses with elongated arm openings or opening in the front or sides without an undershirt. Undershirts in isolation and/or those that are deemed inappropriate by the administration. Tops that violate the “B’s” in the rule of thumb above.
• Shorts that are not visible under the blouse OR that expose buttocks. Shorts must be visible and lengthy enough to be seen and not to cause confusion as to whether they exist.
• Clothing that advertises alcohol or substances that are illegal for minors or displays suggestive phrases, designs, markings, or profanities.
• Hats, caps, bandanas, or other head coverings during the school day. Head coverings worn for religious or medical reasons will be approved by the administration.
• Pants with holes that show private parts or expose the buttocks, unfastened belts, or exposed underwear.
• Clothing that displays weapons, violence, gang affiliations, racial slurs, sexual connotations, or any other clothing that causes a disruption.
