Voortrekker High School Admissions 2024-2025: Application forms 2024

Voortrekker High School invites all students to apply for admission in the academic year 2024-2025. All applicants who successfully applied for admission to the 2024–2025 academic year will be required to submit the documents suggested by the school during the application. Before the submission dates for 2024, all parents and prospective applicants are advised to carefully read all relevant information and guidelines for prospective applicants before applying.

Voortrekker High School Subjects Offered

GRADES 8 AND 9

In the junior grades, pupils study the following subjects:

• English (home language)
• Afrikaans
• Mathematics
• Life Orientation
• Economic Management Science
• Natural Science
• Social Science
• Technology
• Art or Drama

At the end of Grade 9, pupils make subject choices for matric.

They offer the following subjects for GRADES 10 – 12

Compulsory subjects:

• English (home language)
• Afrikaans
• Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
• Life Orientation

Choice subjects (a minimum of three other subjects):

• Accounting
• Business Studies
• Computer Applications Technology
• Drama
• History
• Hospitality Studies
• Geography
• Life Sciences
• Physical Sciences
• Visual Arts

 

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Thank you for making Voortrekker High your school of choice. Failure to submit completed application forms will result in an invalid application.
To ensure the smooth processing of your application, please adhere to the following:

1. ALL SECTIONS of the application form are to be completed accurately.

2. The following must accompany this application. Original documents will not be accepted as they cannot be returned to you. Application forms 2024

• A certified copy of the applicant’s December 2024 report.
• A certified copy of proof of residence – Acceptable documentation would be either a recent municipal account (rates/water etc.); mortgage/bond statement or recent lease agreement.
• CERTIFIED copy of the child’s Birth Certificate.
• 2x recent ID photographs (no other photographs will be accepted). These are to be stapled (not glued please) to the Learner Information Questionnaire where indicated.
• CERTIFIED copies of the Identity Documents of BOTH biological parents or legal guardians in the absence of the parents.
• VALID STUDY PERMIT if not South African Citizens.

3. The closing date for applications is FRIDAY 26 MARCH at 1 PM. Try to avoid last-minute submissions, as failure to meet this deadline could result in your application being regarded as ‘late’ and your child’s acceptance being compromised.
