Document and information required for the admission of a learner

For both the online and the manual applications, the following documents are required. For the online application, these documents must be scanned in and attached to the application.

• ID or unabridged birth certificate of the child
• One ID photo of the learner
• Latest school report
• ID copies of both parents/guardians
• Copy of Court Order if the learner is placed under Guardianship
• Clearance Certificate of previous school & latest statement
• Proof of residence (water & lights acc)
• Copy of Divorce Agreement, if applicable
• Copy of the Maintenance Court Order if applicable
• Copy of medical aid card
• Copy of death certificate (if applicable)
• Proof of income for both parents/guardians
• Proof of unemployment for both parents/guardians (if applicable: Letter from Dept of Labour)
• Copy of grant received
• Copy of the child’s Immunisation Card

How to apply for admission at Grantley College

A step-by-step guide to applying to Grantley College:

• Download and complete the application forms, parent contracts, policy and process forms and indemnity forms from this site.
• Contact their Admissions Office on 011 643 8321 to arrange an initial interview.
• Should you have a current, less than two years old, academic assessment, please bring it along to the interview.
• If you do not have current assessments Grantley College will arrange for one to be done by our onsite Learning Support Unit.
• If the college conducts an assessment a feedback session will be arranged with the college’s educational psychologist.
• A decision to offer a place will be based on the topics discussed at the interview, current school reports and the education and psychological assessment.
• Any offer made will be dependent on suitable references from the current school and a satisfactory credit check.
