Document and information required for the admission of a learner

The following documents are required for both the online and the manual applications. For the online application, these documents must be scanned in and attached to the application.

• ID or unabridged birth certificate of the child
• One ID photo of the learner
• Latest school report
• ID copies of both parents/guardians
• Copy of Court Order if the learner is placed under Guardianship
• Clearance Certificate of previous school & latest statement
• Proof of residence (water & lights acc)
• Copy of Divorce Agreement, if applicable
• Copy of the Maintenance Court Order if applicable
• Copy of medical aid card
• Copy of death certificate (if applicable)
• Proof of income for both parents/guardians
• Proof of unemployment for both parents/guardians (if applicable: Letter from Dept of Labour)
• Copy of grant received
• Copy of the child’s Immunisation Card

Abbotts College Admissions Process (How to update your details on STASY)

• Step 1: Please complete the Online Application.
• Step 2: Pay the R250 Application Fee via the secure Payment Portal (PayU).
• Step 3: An Application Number will be forwarded to you.
• Step 4: Upload all required documents (Student Birth Certificate, Parent/Guardian ID, Latest Academic Report).
• Step 5: Once the school receives all the information, you will receive an Offer Letter that you will need to accept.
• Step 6: You will receive an Admission Number for reference when paying the enrolment fee (R2500). Please pay via the Secure Payment Gateway (PayU).
• Step 7: Lastly, they will issue you with a student number (SD Number) and confirm your login details to the Parent Portal on STASY

(their Student and Tertiary Academic System).

• Step 8: Use your SD Number as a reference when making tuition payments into your school’s bank account. Your school’s banking details are listed below.
